Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Arrival in Lhasa

Our Tibetan guide and Tibetan driver greet you at the airport or train station with a white scarf. This is a very traditional way of greeting a friend in Tibet.

The distance from the airport to Lhasa city is around 60 kilometers, while the distance from the train station to Lhasa is approximately 15 kilometers. We take it easy on the first day to acclimate to the altitude.

Tibet Nature Tour

ATTRACTIONS:- Potala Palace (Winter Resistant of the Dalai Lama), Norbu Lingkha Palace (Summer Resistant of the Dalai Lama), Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Streets & Sera Monastery;

The tour program for Days 2 and Day 3 is designed to help you acclimatize to the altitude in Lhasa City. You will be touring some of Tibet’s most beautiful landmarks in the meantime. These icons include the Potala Palace (Dalai Lama’s Winter Palace), Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Norbu Lingkha Palace, and Sera Monastery.

The Sera Monastery is one of the most intriguing places to see, and I strongly advise you to go there in the afternoon while the monks are debating Tibetan Buddhist philosophy.

We must obtain a Visiting Time Ticket to enter the Potala Palace. We must plan accordingly based on that. Because of this, when you get to Lhasa, kindly give our guide your passport.

10 Days Spiritual Journey

ATTRACTIONS:- The longest River of Tibet (Yarlung Tsangpo), Samye Monastery, Hepo Ri Hill, Chimbu Hermitage, Trendruk Temple, Yumbu Lakhang.

In This 10 Days Spiritual Journey, Day 4 and 5 will be spent exploring the Yarlung Valley. Yarlung Valley is a historically and spiritually significant region of Tibet because it is the birthplace of Tibetan civilization. In around 200 BC, King Nyatri Tsanpo was appointed as the first king of Tibet, and the first palace (Yumbu Lhakhang) was also erected.

10 Days Ganden Samye Trekking

You will also explore the first temple in Tibet, Trendruk Temple, which was established in the 7th century, as well as the Samye Monastery, which was built in the 8th century. Tibet began to develop the monastic system at the Samye Monastery, with just seven monks. Samye Monastery is the monastery where the monastic system began in Tibet. In the beginning, there were only seven monks in all of Tibet. If time allows, you will also go to the Chong-Gye to witness the royal tombs of Tibet.

You will also go to the Chong-Gye, if time permits, to witness the tombs of Tibet’s Kings. You’ll also be escorted to the Samye-Chimbu for a visit, where Tibetan yogis meditate. You will need to hike for two to three hours to get to Chimbu because it is located on the Chimbu mountain’s lap. You’ll be seen most of these meditation caves and a nunnery.

ATTRACTIONS:- Gampa La Pass, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Nyinchen Khangsar Range, Pelchoe Monastery, Kumbum Stupa, Tashi Lunpo Monastery;

From Day 6 to Day 9, you will be traveling through the countryside. Where you will discover breathtaking landscapes, historically significant monasteries, and the nomadic life of Tibetans.

The most notable highlight on Day 6 is the bird’s-eye view of Yamdrok Lake and the Nyinchen Khangsar Range from the summit of the Gampa La Pass. You’ll next see a breathtaking view of the Tibetan villages and Nyinchen Khangsar Range as you drive close to Yamdrok Lake.

After a brief break for lunch in Nengkhar-Tse, we continue on our drive through the bizarre valley and over a few passes. Karola Pass, located at an elevation of 5,100 m, is one of the highest peaks to traverse and offers a close-up view of the Karola Glacier, Tibet’s seventh biggest glacier.
Around 5 p.m., you will visit the Pelchoe Monastery, which was built in the 15th century and has genuine murals from that era.
Kumbum Stupa is also located within the Pelchoe Monastery compound. The Kumbum Stupa is nine stories high and has 108 cells in its construction. The structure itself serves as a metaphor for the Buddha’s body, speech, and mind.

The structure itself serves as a metaphor for the Buddha’s body, speech, and mind. The stupa is also designed like a holy mandala, which is a visualization tool used by Buddhists to train their minds on the path to enlightenment.

how to get to Tibet

Your trip to the Tashi Lunpo Monastery is scheduled for Day 7. The greatest Gelukpa monastery in Shigatse Prefecture, Tashi Lunpo Monastery, was established by the 1st Dalai Lama and then offered to the Panchen Lamas, who used it as their residence. The Future Buddha Chapel and the complex of the monastery are very special.

The monastery’s premises resemble a little Tibetan village that formerly housed tens of thousands of monks. The world’s tallest gold-gilded statue, at 26 meters tall, was housed in the Chapel of the Future Buddha (Maitreya).

ATTRACTIONS:- Shugarla Pass, Yangpachen Hot-Spring, Namtso Lake, Tibetan Nomads;

On Day 8, you will leave immediately after breakfast for Lake Namtso. You will pass stunningly gorgeous mountains, valleys, Tibetan nomadic villages, and Yanpachen Hot Springs on your way to Namtso Lake. Namtso Lake means “Heavenly Lake” in Tibetan.

It is frequently regarded as being “close to heaven” due to its high altitude, breathtaking beauty, clear blue water, and spiritual connotations. Furthermore, the Nyinchen Thangla range encircles Namtso Lake, adding to its unfathomable beauty.

5 Days Namtso Lake Tour

On Day 9, we make the 250-kilometer trip back to Lhasa City. Our 10-day spiritual Journey is ended here.

Your Tibet trip (10 Days Spiritual Journey) is coming to an end today, and you’ll be bidding farewell to your guide and driver who have helped create unforgettable experiences. Meet them in the hotel lobby, where they will accompany you to the airport or train station for a smooth departure from Tibet. Though you’re leaving this mystical land, the memories and warmth of the people will stay with you forever.

What Travelers say about us?
Stephanie White
In November 2019, I went on 10 Days Spiritual Journey Tour with Tibet Nature Tour. We visited the Chimbu hermitage, the Potala Palace, and many interesting things. It was really fun. How wonderful that was. Our tour guide, Kalsang, was the best; he looked after our eclectic group of travelers quite well. He always showed kindness and care. He made our tour fantastic and had a terrific sense of fun. It would have been more pleasurable to spend more time in Tibet.
